Sipi Falls
Sipi Falls is a stunning series of three waterfalls cascading down the foothills of Mount Elgon in Eastern Uganda. The falls are surrounded by lush coffee plantations, caves, and scenic trails, making it a perfect destination for hiking and nature lovers. The main waterfall plunges about 100 meters, offering spectacular views. Visitors can enjoy guided hikes, interact with local communities, visit coffee farms to learn about Arabica coffee production, and watch breathtaking sunsets over the Karamoja plains.
Jinja – The Source of the Nile
Jinja, located on the northern shores of Lake Victoria, is famously known as the Adventure Capital of East Africa. It is home to the Source of the River Nile, where the world’s longest river begins its journey to the Mediterranean Sea. Jinja is a hub for adrenaline activities such as white-water rafting, kayaking, bungee jumping, boat cruises, quad biking, and cultural tours. The town has a laid-back vibe with beautiful riverside views and historical landmarks.
Murchison Falls National Park
Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area. It is named after the dramatic Murchison Falls, where the Nile squeezes through a 7-meter-wide gorge and plunges 43 meters into the “Devil’s Cauldron,” creating one of the most powerful waterfalls in the world. The park is rich with wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, leopards, and over 450 bird species. Activities include game drives, boat cruises to the base of the falls, birdwatching, and hikes to the top of the falls.
6-DAY ITINERARY
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala/Entebbe to Sipi Falls
- Morning: Depart from Kampala or Entebbe after breakfast and drive through Jinja and Mbale, enjoying scenic views of sugarcane plantations, the River Nile, and the rolling hills of Eastern Uganda.
- Afternoon: Arrive at Sipi, check in at your lodge, and enjoy lunch.
- Evening: Take a short community walk or a light hike to one of the three waterfalls.
- Dinner & Overnight: Lodge near Sipi Falls with views of the valley.
Day 2: Full Day Sipi Falls Adventure
- Morning: Guided hike to all three Sipi waterfalls, exploring caves and enjoying panoramic views of Mount Elgon and the Karamoja plains. This hike can take 3–5 hours depending on your pace.
- Afternoon: Enjoy a coffee tour experience – visit a local farm, learn how Arabica coffee is grown, harvested, and roasted, and taste fresh Ugandan coffee.
- Evening: Relax and watch the magical sunset over the valley with your guide.
- Dinner & Overnight: Same lodge at Sipi.
Day 3: Transfer from Sipi Falls to Jinja
- Morning: Depart after breakfast and drive back to Jinja.
- Afternoon: Arrive in Jinja and enjoy lunch at a riverside restaurant.
- Activities: Take a boat cruise to the Source of the Nile, explore Speke Monument, and learn about the Nile’s history.
- Optional Adventure: Quad biking or horseback riding through villages, or a short white-water rafting session.
- Dinner & Overnight: Lodge/Hotel on the Nile banks.
Day 4: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
- Morning: After breakfast, drive northwards to Murchison Falls National Park via the scenic route through Karuma.
- Afternoon: Arrive, check in to your lodge, and have lunch.
- Evening: Enjoy a sunset game drive in the park, spotting elephants, giraffes, buffalo, antelopes, and more.
- Dinner & Overnight: Lodge inside or near the park.

Day 5: Game Drive & Boat Cruise to the Bottom of the Falls
- Early Morning: Sunrise game drive on the northern bank of the Nile where you may spot lions, leopards (if lucky), hyenas, elephants, and other wildlife.
- Mid-Morning: Return for breakfast and relax at the lodge.
- Afternoon: Go for a boat cruise along the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls – see hippos, crocodiles, and numerous birds.
- Optional: Hike to the top of Murchison Falls for a spectacular view of the roaring waters.
- Dinner & Overnight: Same lodge.
Day 6: Morning Game Drive & Return to Kampala/Entebbe
- Morning: After early morning breakfast, we shall check out of the hotel to Zziwa Rhion Sanctuary for a White Rhino trekking and lunch break then return to Kampala/Entebbe. Drop-off at your hotel or airport for your onward flight.
