Our Community Partners. The heart of the local life.
We believe that tourist should benefit everyone in the community; that’s why we work closely with the local families and groups who are our valued partners.
The Sabiny Homestay families: many of our visitors choose to stay in the local homestays, which are families who open their homes for the travelers, offering them a unique chance to experience the authentic Sabiny hospitality during their stay on the safari. They provide comfort, clean rooms, and then delicious homemade meals when you stay with them, and during that you are directly supporting their livelihoods and then getting a true taste of the local life.
The Sipi Women’s Craft Cooperation, this group of talented women, creates beautiful handmade crafts, including baskets, jewelry, and textiles, while using local materials and traditional techniques. We encourage our visitors to buy the souvenirs directly from them, thus ensuring that the money goes straight to the artisans and helps preserve their cultural heritage.
Local porters. For the tourists who have the challenging treks, you will have the option to hire the local porter, as these are strong people to assist you by carrying your bags and then offering a helping hand on the tricky paths, so hiring a porter is a fantastic way to provide direct employment and support families in the community around Sipi Falls.
