On this tour, you will hike to all three falls, experience Uganda’s famous Arabica coffee right from the garden to the cup, witness one of the most beautiful sunsets in the country and take a refreshing half day nature walks in Mount Elgon National Park. Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Sipi Falls & Coffee Experience
- Morning:
You will be picked up from Kampala or Entebbe early in the morning by our guide. Enjoy a scenic road trip through the lush landscapes of Eastern Uganda, passing by Jinja (the Source of the Nile), sugarcane plantations, and Mabira Forest. This drive takes about 5–6 hours with optional stopovers for washrooms, stretches and snacks. - Afternoon:
On arrival at Sipi, check in at your lodge overlooking the beautiful falls and enjoy a warm lunch. - Evening – Coffee Tour:
Visit a local coffee farm and learn about Arabica coffee growing from the tree to the cup. You’ll get hands-on experience picking, roasting, grinding, and brewing your own cup of fresh coffee while learning about the history of coffee farming on Mount Elgon.

- Dinner & Overnight:
Return to your lodge for dinner and a relaxing evening as you listen to the soothing sounds of the waterfalls.
Day 2: Hike the Sipi Falls & Sunset Experience
- Morning – Waterfall Hike:
After breakfast, set off with your guide for a hike to all three Sipi waterfalls. The hike takes you through local farms, banana plantations, and scenic trails. Each waterfall offers unique viewpoints and photo opportunities. The tallest waterfall (100m) is the most famous and perfect for photography with the 65m Falls with a man-made cave just behind the waterfalls makes it the most romantic waterfalls.
Along the way, our guide will share fascinating stories about the Sabiny people and their traditions, including the famous male initiation (circumcision) ceremony.
- Afternoon:
Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Those seeking extra adventure can try abseiling (rappelling down the waterfall) or a community village walk.
- Evening – Sunset Experience:
In the late afternoon, enjoy a guided walk to one of the best viewpoints to witness a spectacular sunset over the Karamoja and Teso plains as the sun disappears down the horizons. Watch as the sky transforms into hues of orange and red, creating a magical and serene atmosphere.
- Dinner & Overnight:
Head back to the lodge for dinner and an optional campfire before retiring for the night.
Day 3: Mount Elgon Nature Walk & Return to Kampala
- Morning – Nature Walk:
After an early breakfast, head for a guided nature walk on the lower slopes of Mount Elgon National Park. Explore scenic trails, caves, waterfalls, and ridges while spotting birds such as the Hartlaub’s Turaco. Learn about the unique flora and fauna of this volcanic mountain ecosystem.
Nature walks - Late Morning:
Return to the lodge, refresh, lunch and check out. - Afternoon:
Start your journey back to Kampala/Entebbe, you will be dropped off at your preferred location, marking the end of this incredible 3-day adventure.
